Nutrition and Pain

Food is the FOUNDATION of building our health. Did you know that chronic pain is often the result of chronic inflammation and  the evidence is strong that your diet can contribute to increased systemic inflammation? Not only does chronic inflammation cause pain, it also increases your risk for disease. 

THE DOMINO EFFECT: The immune system can react to an unhealthy diet the same way as to a bacterial infection.  Diet supports your immune system but when your diet is poor it contributes to low-grade inflammation.  So, not only will you get SICK, you will have more pain.

Sleep and Disesase

Just one night of bad sleep causes greater physical and mental impairments than the equivalent absences of food or exercise.

​

1.DIABETES: Disrupted and inadequate sleep, even for one week may disrupt blood sugars to qualify the levels to pre-diabetic status.

​

2. CANCER: Routinely sleeping less than 7 hours of sleep doubles your risk of cancer and damages your immune system.

​

3.HEART: Adults over 45 years old: less than 6 hours of sleep at night increases a heart attack or stroke risk by more than 200 percent.

 Moving your body also helps slow down aging, decreases many illnesses and diseases while enhancing your memory, your focus, and even your happiness. We are made to MOVE!
