We are happy to provide our rates over the phone. We charge flat fees based on 1-hour sessions for the first visit and follow-up treatments.  We also offer a student discount for college students! While our rates are set, we prefer to talk with new clients over the phone to gather preliminary information on what you are hoping to achieve with Northwest Orthopaedics & Wellness. This allows us to give you an idea of what your visits will look like and how many you may need to accomplish your goals. Because we are a cash-based practice there will never be any hidden fees or bills sent to you at any time after your appointment.  We are proud to offer completely transparent billing!

Please schedule a "Free 15 Minute Phone Interview" here!.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT THAN OUR COMPETITORS?

We have extensive knowledge in anatomy, advanced biomechanics, and clinical reasoning which is the foundation of a musculoskeletal diagnosis. Additionally, our assertive manual therapy style combined with the functional application of exercise will set you on the right path for recovery. You will always be 1-on-1 with the same specialist. We are transparent in our prices and guarantee you will never be surprised with a bill a few months later. Should there be a reason we cannot help with your specific needs we are happy to assist in sending you to a specialist who can help find the answers you seek.

The current trends in health insurance mandate strict guidelines regarding what is considered "skilled physical therapy" for reimbursement. It has become very difficult to be reimbursed for the common ache/pain, sprain, etc; forcing many outpatient clinics to see a high hourly patient volume just to keep the doors open. This means that patients rarely see the same physical therapist twice and are often passed on to a physical therapy tech.

Cash-based practices are a premium price for premium results. Because we are not tied down to what the insurance company has approved, we have the freedom and flexibility to treat our patients' needs in the most meaningful way even if those needs change throughout the recovery process. We want to work for the patient, not the insurance companies. Additionally, working for our patients allows us to create rehab/performance programs that are designed to return pain-free function, with the least downtime. We are here to build meaningful relationships with our patients and their families.

WHY DON'T YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

DO I NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR FIRST?

NO!

In Indiana, the following provisions apply to providing physical therapy services via direct access:

  • May evaluate and treat for no more than 42 calendar days beginning with the date of the initiation of treatment without a referral. If additional treatment is needed, the PT shall obtain a referral from the individual’s provider (physician, podiatrist, psychologist, chiropractor, dentist, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant).

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE?

We do not have any contracts with insurance companies or Medicare. We are an out-of-pocket facility, meaning you pay directly for the service yourself.  While we do not accept insurance, you may submit a claim to your insurance provider using the superbill we give you. This is a type of medical receipt that contains information and medical codes that are needed to help you get reimbursed if you choose to do so. You will receive a superbill from us whether or not you choose to seek reimbursement.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Dress in loose and comfortable clothing.

Pants that can be pulled up over your knees.

Shirts that the shoulder can be exposed: tank top.

Remove necklaces and earrings prior to entering.

Wear hair up off of your neck.

We accept most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit) and cash payments. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks

WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?

After my 42days of direct access is over, what happens if I need more treatment?

In Indiana, healthcare providers who can prescribe physical therapy are a physician, podiatrist, psychologist, chiropractor, dentist, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant.

  • An order or referral from a physician, osteopath, or chiropractor is required for spinal manipulation. Referring physician, osteopath, or chiropractor must have examined the patient before issuing the order or referral. “Spinal manipulation” defined as “a method of skillful and beneficial treatment by which a physical therapist uses direct thrust to move a joint of the patient’s spine beyond its normal range of motion, but without exceeding the limits of anatomical integrity.”

WHAT IF I HAVE MEDICARE?

If you have Medicare, currently you do not qualify for medical treatment but you do qualify for services not covered by Medicare. This is because the contract you have with your government health plan does not allow you to receive any medical services that are covered by your plan from facilities that are out-of-network.

We do not have any contracts with insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid, and therefore are considered out-of-network. This means that you can ONLY receive services from our clinic that are not covered by your government health plan.
